Chelsea released their 2026/27 third kit on Saturday 12 September, on sale the same day. Nike called it “The Rare Breed”, and the club describes the white lion at its heart as “sacred and rare”, a symbol that “moves on its own terms”.
What the Chelsea third jersey looks like
- Base: white, with a geometric shadow pattern and thin red vertical pinstripes.
- Trim: Rush Blue on the collar and cuffs.
- Crest: a retro shield-shaped badge, with the blue Swoosh outlined in red.
- Kit: white shorts for the men’s team, blue for the women’s, and white socks with Rush Blue hoops.
The story: back to 1993
The design takes its cue from Chelsea’s 1993 away jersey and other away and third kits of the 1980s and ’90s. It is the club’s first mainly white third kit in nearly a decade, which is a big part of why it stands out next to the home blue.
